PHP is a interpreted scripting language, under open source license, ideated to realize dynamic web pages. It is considered a server-side language (due to its principal use) but it is useful also for client side scripting or applications also with graphic user interface.

It was originally born as a CGI script collection, to manage simple internet pages. It has then developed during the years with a database system access or more dynamic page instruments to reach today level.
